Graveside Rites Conducted for Clifford Brogan

GOODELL, Iowa - Graveside services were held for Clifford Brogan at Amsterdam Cemetery east of Goodell with the Rev. Park E. Miller of the E.U.B. Church of Goodell officiating. He died at a nursing home at Sac City following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his wife and is survived by several children.

LAKE CITY — Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Squires Funeral Home here for Clifford E. Brogan, 75, who died Sunday. The Rev. William Green, pastor of the Lake City Methodist Church, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will be at the Goodell Cemetery at 1 p.m. Mr. Brogan, who was preceded in death by his wife, is survived by five sons: Merle, Minneapolis; Vere, Boston, Mass.; Luverne, Waterloo; Dean and Howard, San Diego, Calif., and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Neary, Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Keith Robertson, Sac City.

LAKE CITY — Funeral services for Clifford E. Brogan, 75, were held Sept. 26, at 10 a.m. at the Squires Funeral Home here. The Rev. William Green, pastor of the Lake City Methodist Church, officiated. Graveside services and burial were Wednesday afternoon at the cemetery at Goodell, Iowa. Mr. Brogan, son of Morris and Mary Brogan, was born at Meservey, Iowa, July 7, 1881. On April 30, 1904, he was married to Mayme Clark, who died May 6, 1948. They were the parents of seven children. Mr. Brogan had been a semi-invalid for many years. He died Sept. 23, 1956 at Rockwell City. Surviving are his five sons, Merle Brogan, Minneapolis, Minn.; Vere Brogan, Boston, Mass,, LuVerne, Waterloo; Dean and Howard Brogan, San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Neary (LaBonna), Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Keith Robinson (Marvel), Sac City, Ia.; three sisters, one brother and grandchildren.
