Aged Retired Farmer Dies

Martin Cosgriff Once Was Large Landholder

Martin Cosgriff, 89, retired farmer and at one time extensive landowner, died early Thursday at his home in Britt. Had he lived until Feb 25 he and his wife would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Mr. Cosgriff was a native of Ireland and came to the United States when he was 23 years old. He formerly lived in Amsterdam township northwest of Kanawha. Since retiring from the farm, Mr. and Mrs. Cosgriff lived at Britt. Survivors include the widow and the following children; Mrs. Dale Wagner, Kanawha; Tom, Britt; George, Klemme; John R., Kanawha; Martin, Britt, and Mrs. Donald McGreevey, Waterloo. The body was taken to the Boughton funeral home at Britt where funeral arrangements were pending.
