Wilson Rites to Be Friday

GOODELL, IA - Funeral services for Leonard Harvey Wilson, 82, will be conducted Friday at his old home one mile east of Goodell and at 2 at the Goodell Evangelical Church. The Rev. Park E. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Amsterdam Cemetery with the Johnston Funeral Home, Belmond, in charge. Mr. Wilson died Monday at the Belmond Community Hospital. A carpenter, he had lived his entire life in the Goodell community. He married Mary Olsen at Garner and they lived a mile east of Goodell. He was a member of Evangelical United Bethren Church and the Belmond IOOF Lodge. He served for many years on the school board. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Jess (Viola) Thorenson, Chambersburg, Pa.; Mrs. Lester (Avis) Gobeli, Thornton; Mrs. Earl (Norva) Finn, Fairfield, Calif., and Mrs. Ira (Wava) Langlitz, Goodell; two sons, Harvey Wilson, Vallejo, Calif.; and Verdi Wilson, Concord, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a brother, Garfield Wilson, Seattle, Wash.
