Edna Carville was born March 11, 1893, in Vincent, Iowa, the only child of Henry and Ida Stumpf. She graduated from high school at Eagle Grove, Iowa, in 1910. They moved to Montana and homesteaded northwest of Savage. In 1925, Edna graduated from State Normal College in Dillon. Later she attended the University of Missoula. In 1926, Edna married Forrest Carville in Glasgow. They lived on his homestead west of Savage. Edna taught school for 38 years, then retired in 1959. Forrest died in October 1961. Edna continued to live on the homestead until 1964, when she moved into Savage. Edna was a member of Yellowstone Community Church. She enjoyed the farm and ranch. She also enjoyed her flowers, garden, her cats and making people happy. Edna died at her home in Savage on May 12, 1990. Survivors include numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Interment was in the Riverview Cemetery in Savage [Montana].
