June L. Moore, age 97, of Clarion passed away Jan. 29, 2015, at Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at the Clarion Church of Christ. Pastor Warren Curry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Andrews Funeral Home, 516 First St. S.E., Belmond, and will continue one hour prior to the funeral services at church Monday. Funeral service and visitation were rescheduled because of weather. Those wishing to express their sympathies through a card or memorial may direct them in care of the family.

June was born to Leon and Ethel Christie Lathrop at home north of Lake Cornelia. She grew up north of Lake Cornelia and worked housework and caring for her children. She also worked for Phyllis Pals at her grocery store. She married Donald Moore on Sept. 2, 1940. She learned to crochet afghans in her later years and made many of them. She loved to bake and try new recipes. Sugar cookies were her specialty. She also loved planting spring flowers and many car rides.

She is survived by her husband, Donald (Bud) Moore of Clarion; her daughter Marcia (Sherwood) Larsen of Clarion, Mark (Gerry) Moore of Fort Dodge, Curt (Byrul) Moore of Rowan; six grandchildren: Lance (Jennifer) Larsen of Eagle Grove, Misty (Eric) Davidson of Minot, N.D., Christopher Moore of Schaller, Kim (Brent) Haniszewski, Jenny Bunk, and Jamie (Trent) Claude; and 11 great grandchildren: Tory Kurtis Moore, Dakota Halstad, Megan Larsen, Isaac Traeger, Kelsey Traeger, Taylor Traeger, Autumn Davidson, Annika Davidson, Madi Haniszewski, Ben Haniszewski, and Parker Claude. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Ethel Lathrop; her brothers, Lyle and Hartie; and two sisters, Ursula Dyer and Mavel (Peggy) Franklin; three nephews; grandson Jason Moore; and great-Grandson Zachary Christensen.
