WATERTOWN, Wis. - Marjorie "June" Campbell O'Neil, age 96, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, met her Savior face to face on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown, Wis. June was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Watertown, Wis. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, with Dr. Robert J. Loggans officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until time of the service Monday at the church. A second memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Calvary Baptist Church in Granada, Minn. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth, Minn. Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home is caring for the family.

June was born March 22, 1918, in Clarion, Wright County, Iowa, to Lawrence and Almeda "Fern" (Doctor) Campbell. She attended country schools in Wright County and graduated from Clarion High School in 1935. She later attended Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Mo. June worked as a secretary for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. in Des Moines, Iowa. She later worked for Reuben H. Donnelley Corp. in Nevada, Iowa. In 1940, June moved to Blue Earth, Minn., where her parents had moved. On Aug. 28, 1941, she married Charles Josiah O'Neil in Elmore, Minn. June and Charles spent most of their married lives farming in Faribault County, Minn. For over 16 years, she worked at the Baptist Home (now Parker Oaks) in Winnebago, Minn. After her retirement she continued living in Blue Earth until June 2001 when she moved to Watertown, Wis., to be near her daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Larry Oats. Before moving to Watertown, June was active as a Sunday School teacher and in ladies' ministries at Huntley Baptist Church and later at Calvary Baptist Church of Granada.

June is survived by her children: Larry (Elvera) O'Neil of Sedalia, Mo., Colleen (Larry) Oats of Watertown, Wis., and Brian (Joyce) O'Neil of Apple Valley, Minn.; eight grandchildren: Mitchell (Jill) O'Neil, Sharilyn (Matthew) Maupin, Nathanael (Crystal) Oats, Andrew (Lisa) Oats, Elisabeth (Kipp) Malmanger, Katrina (Eddie) Washetas, Jennifer (Matthew) Weimann, and Emily (Stuart) Voeller; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Fern Campbell of Blue Earth, Minn., and Ida Campbell of Waite Park, Minn.; along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" on July 5, 1998. Memorials may be given to Maranatha Baptist Seminary. The family would like to thank Marquardt Health Center and Hospice for the compassionate care given to their mother.
