Nadine Jackson, age 85, of Dows, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. Memorial services for Nadine Jackson will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday January 29, 2015 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 100 Lee St. in Dows. Pastor Shawn Hill will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery in Dows. Visitation for Nadine Jackson will be held from 4:00 P.M. until service-time on Thursday at the funeral home in Dows.

Nadine was born on April 29, 1929 to Earnest and Olivia Foster Harris Sr. in Pleasanton, IA. Nadine moved with her family to Popejoy where she grew up and graduated from Popejoy High School. She met Richard Jackson and they married on April 28, 1957. They made their home in Dows. She was a housewife and she loved to garden. Nadine was the Jail Matron at the Wright County Jail from 1961 to 1969. Nadine is survived by her husband Richard, nieces and nephews Keri Harris, Russ Nichols, Kathi Franklin, Sandi Thomas, Patti Nichols, Burl Nichols, Mardean, Urbandale and Marla. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth, Helen, Leata Nichols and Earnest Jr.
