Doreen Ann (Hunt) Fischer, 78, of Meservey, Iowa, passed away Dec. 15, 2014 at the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit, Hospice of North Iowa, in Mason City, Iowa. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City.

Doreen Ann Smy was born on Aug. 24, 1936, in Woodbridge, England. She married Edward Norman Hunt on April 12, 1957. Edward passed away Nov. 26, 1996. She married Robert Lyle Fischer on Sep. 15, 2001. Doreen worked at Good Shepherd Health Center at various times for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her cats and family and she loved listening to Elvis.

Doreen is survived by her husband, Robert Fischer, from Meservey; daughters, Susan (Michael) Shannon, Mason City, Linda (Paul) Goebel, Jacksonville, Fla., Julie (Gene) Tackett, Des Moines, Kathy (Terry) Ostrander, Northfield, Ohio; step-son, Alan (Dawn) Fischer, Appleton, Wis.; grandchildren, John, Jackie (Camrean), Robert (Katie), Cassie (Timothy), Katrina (Tim), Alex, Jamie, Alisha (Brian), Tiffany (Chris), Christopher, Tina, Jason, Jeremy; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Daphne, of Australia; and brother, David, of Spain. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; great-grandsons, Matthew and Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit Hospice of North Iowa. Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of arrangements.
