Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church for Jesse E. Stenson, 94, who died Friday at his home. Burial will be in Hillside Memorium Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and one hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Jesse Stenson was born in Clarion, Iowa, to Thomas and Malinda (Johnson) Stenson. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Agriculture in 1928. He married Lois Oby on Oct. 3, 1931, in Minneapolis. He owned and operated Stenson Oil Co. in St. Cloud for more than 35 years. He was a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, a member of Salem Lutheran Church, the Sons of Norway and the University of Minnesota School of Agriculture Alumni Association. Survivors include nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 29, 2000; and four sisters and four brothers. Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church or the University of Minnesota for diabetic research.
