J. A. RISVOLD DIES IN PHOENIX; RITES INCOMPLETE
CLEAR LAKE, Iowa – J. Alvin Risvold, 50, died early Monday morning in a Phoenix, Ariz., hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 19. Funeral services are incomplete. The body will be returned to Clear Lake for burial. Mr. and Mrs. Risvold have lived in Phoenix since June 1965, when they purchased a 24-unit apartment court. They lived in Clear Lake from 1954, moving here from Corwith where he was in the farm implement business. He was one of the founders of Ris-Van Fertilizer, Inc., Belmond, in 1955. It was sold to Armour & Co. in 1961. He also was one of the organizers of the Clear Lake Community National Bank and of Ris-Van Realty. He is survived by his wife, Maxine, and one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Marlene) Petersen, and two granddaughters. Mr. and Mrs. Petersen have been in Phoenix one week.
