Adelle Catherine (Krogman) Bockenstedt, the daughter of Conrad F. and Gunilda T. (Lueck) Krogman, was born January 10, 1924, in Earlville, Iowa. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Earlville. Adelle was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She served as Rosary Society President and as a 4-H leader. Adelle enjoyed gardening, helping children, crocheting and sewing. She worked as a Chef and head cook for the Plantation Supper Club and owned her own campground/supper club. Adelle also made her home in Strawberry Point, Manchester and Eagle Grove.

Survivors include by her children: Donald Bockenstedt, Mary Jean Hood and Joanne Duncalf. Adelle C. Bockenstedt passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove at the age of 90 years. Funeral Services for Adelle Bockenstedt of Earlville will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 31st at St. Joseph Parish in Earlville.Visitation will be Thursday 4:30 to 7:30pm at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 4:30pm. There will also be visitation one hour before service time at the church. Burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Earlville, Iowa.
