January 6, 1899 ---- December 21, 1990

CLEAR LAKE – Mina May Buck, 91, 201 S. Fourth St., died Thursday (Dec. 21, 1990) at Oakwood Care Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., with the Rev. James Louk officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mina Buck was born Jan 6, 1899, at Woolstock to William David and Elizabeth A. (Rawalt) Harter. She attended schools at Taopi, LeRoy, Minn., and also at Little Cedar near Osage. On Jan. 23, 1923, she was married to James A. Buck in Mason City. Mr. Buck preceded her in death. Mrs. Buck worked in Charles City at the Dime Store and then worked at Bethany Nursing Home for 7 ˝ years. She also worked at the Lake Café for four years. She was very active in the Methodist Church Circle, Navy Mothers, Grandmothers Club, Royal Neighbors, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge, and Senior Citizens, all of Clear Lake. She enjoyed making quilts and playing bingo.

Survivors include three daughters, Janette Buck of Clear Lake, Mrs. Cliff (Ruth) Collins of Eyota, Minn., and Helen McEldoon of Brighton; two sons, James W. Buck and Robert G. Buck, both of Clear Lake; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
