Lenora E. Underwood, 87, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Saturday morning, August 9, 2014, at the Gowrie Care Center. Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Following visitation, Lenora will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the Christian Church in Lehigh. Pastor Richard Laird & Rev. David Ogburn will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lehigh.

Lenora Evelyn Underwood was born on March 6, 1927, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Rutherford and Marie (Hoveland) Conaway. Lenora married Albert Oldson in 1949, and together they had two children, Bruce and Cindy. Albert passed away in 1971. She later married Everett Underwood, and together they had a daughter, Tricia. Everett passed away in 2013. Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Albert Oldson and Everett Underwood, brother, Duke Conaway, sister, Ruth Thomas, son-in-law, Tom Knutson, and infant granddaughter, Amanda. Lenora is survived by her son, Bruce (Paula) Oldson of Fort Dodge, Iowa, daughters Cindy Knutson of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Tricia Trueblood of Gowrie, Iowa, step-daughters, April (Mike) Faas of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Alexis (Clif) Underwood of Panama City, Florida, foster daughter, Michelle (Dave) Ogburn of Des Moines, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Rengstorf of Porterville, California. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
