ROWAN-Mrs. Nina Fowler, 74, died Tuesday in her home in Rowan.

She was born in Clayton county, Oct. 19, 1866. She lived in Seward, Nebr., and Gaylord, Kans., one year and then came to Grundy county. Later she taught in the rural schools of Wright county.

She was married to Florence Fowler Oct. 7, 1886, and located on a farm near Belmond. Later they moved to the vicinity of Rowan where she lived for 44 years.

She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Brown of Marengo, Mrs. Inez Johnson of Marshalltown, Mrs. Flora Drury of Kanawha, and Esther of Rowan; five brothers, one sister, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the Methodist church Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mr. Beltom in charge.
