BRITT, IA - Marie Shelton, 82, of Britt, died Thursday (Nov. 1, 1990) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Britt, with the Rev. Dennis Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Sunday at Ewing Funeral Chapel, Britt, with a Rebekah service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Shelton was born Sept. 3, 1908, at Kanawha. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Westin, Fort Dodge; Mrs. Stanton (Helen) Brunes, Goodell; Mrs. Arnold (Marjorie) Nord, Forest City; Mrs. Dayton (Lois) Adreon, Britt, and Mrs. Kent (Carole) Taylor of Mason City; one son, James of Hudson; three sisters, Carla Aumsbough, Floyd; Minnie May, Des Moines, and Martha Kraft of Kanawha; and one brother, George Freerksen of Grand Junction. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
