David Wayne Kudej, 69, died in a Grinnell senior care facility May 2, 2012. Per his wishes, there will be no service. Memorials may be made to the family. Cremation Society of Iowa is in charge of the arrangements. He was born Sept. 13, 1942, in Mason City to Howard and Rudy [Ruby] Thomas Kudej. He attended school in Kanawha, Iowa, and at Iowa State University. David worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service for over 34 years, retiring on Sept. 13, 1997. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Lou; a sister, Barbara Gisvold [Grisvold] of Clive; stepchildren Traci Dolash of Chelsea and Allan Jones of Deep River; and three grandchildren.
