Mrs. Nelson, 72, Dies in City

Mrs. Chris Nelson, 72, a resident of the Kamrar community, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at the Hamilton county hospital. She suffered a heart attack while in the Webster City business district and was taken to the hospital where she died a short time later. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Methodist church in Kamrar, preceded by a brief service at 1:30 at the family home two miles northwest of Kamrar. The Reverends J. A. Farnham and R. J. Richards will officiate. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until Monday morning when it will be taken to the family home.

Born Near W.C.-
Katie Ann Boughton, daughter of Frank and Gertrude Boughton, was born June 13, 1877 on a farm north of Webster City. When she was a small child, the family moved to a farm southwest of Woolstock. She received her elementary education in the rural schools near Woolstock, later attending high school at Eagle Grove. She was united in marriage June 28, 1899 to Christian Nelson. The family moved to Kamrar and resided in town until 1918. They then moved to a farm two miles northwest of Kamrar, the family home since.

Died in 1943-
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband who died July 1, 1943; by one son, Ralph, who died at the age of three months; by her parents and by two sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Severin (Gladys) Tjentland of Kamrar; by one grandson, James Christian Tjentland, and by two brothers, A. O. Boughton of Eagle Grove and M. R. Boughton of Tucson, Ariz. Mrs. Nelson had also taken several orphan youngsters into her home and reared them as members of her family.

Mrs. Nelson was a woman of sterling character, kind and loving nature and an earnest Christian, having been baptized in the Methodist faith and for many years an active member of the Methodist church at Kamrar. She had been former president of the Ladies aid at the church for 2 years. During her many years residence in the Kamrar community she had made many warm friends for her life was given to good deeds. She was always interested in the affairs of the community and had been active in Farm Bureau work as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Women's Federated club at Kamrar.
