Clyde Bray Rites Friday

Clyde Bray, 76, died at 1:45 this morning at his home, 1212 Second St. He had been in ill health the past three years. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. R. D. Kitterman officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

James Clyde Bray, son of Richard and Myra Bray, was born March 12, 1884, at Lansing, Iowa. He was seven years old, when he moved with his parents to Chapin, Iowa, where he was reared and educated. He later moved with his parents to a farm west of Kanawha. He was united in marriage Sept. 11, 1918, to Ada Hall, and Mr. and Mrs. Bray farmed near Kanawha for one year, then moved to Britt, Iowa, where he was employed as a trucker for the former Selby Produce Co. In 1929, the family moved to Webster City where Mr. Bray continued his work with the Selby company, working for them for more than 20 years. He was later employed at the McCollough Foundry until his retirement in 1957.

He is survived by his wife, one son, James E. Bray, Webster City, and four step-children, Mrs. Albert (Evelyn) Michelsen, Kanawha, Donald Wickline, Webster City, Kenneth Wickline, Monrovia, Calif., and Mrs. Ervin (Maxine) Adney of Mason City; two grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Roy Bray of Kanawha. He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Glen; his parents and one sister. Mr. Bray was a member of the Methodist church.
