MARGERY J. FASEL "MARGE" (NEE BLACKMAN) -- VALPARAISO, IN

Marge, age 90, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso IN. She was born in Clarion, IA on June 10, 1923 to the late Byron and Gladys (nee Hansen) Blackman. Marge was a resident of Valparaiso for over 60 years, a retired office employee of McGill Manufacturing, attended First Presbyterian Church, member of the VFW Lodge #988, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, and American Legion Post #94. Survived by daughter, Janis I. (Doug) (nee Gratton) Ash of Rochester, MI; grandson, Michael (Carrie) Ash of San Diego, CA; great granddaughter, Sloane Ash of CA; sister, Luella Brotherton of CA; companion, Ted Rybak of Valparaiso, IN; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Clarence "Ted" Fasel; daughter, Phyllis Gratton; son, Michael Gratton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell St., Valparaiso, IN with Rev. Gretchen Seidler-Gibbs officiating. Burial of Cremains, Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso IN. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dykes Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, Valparaiso, IN or the American Legion Post #94. Arrangements by Dykes Funeral Home.
