Addie Thebiay was born February 3, 1876 in Amboy, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Lydia Thebiay. When she was two years old, the family moved to their farm four miles west of Eagle Grove.

On March 24, 1901, she was united in marriage to Peter N. Sadler of Eagle Grove. They have resided in Eagle Grove on North Iowa Ave. for many years.

She is survived by her husband and four children, Mrs. James Imboden of Sioux City, Edward Sadler of Belle Plaine, Orville Sadler of Carroll, and Mrs. Floyd Polmateer of Goldfield. There are eleven grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and five sisters, Art and Will Thebiay, Mrs. Delia Bulis, Mrs. Tressie Nelson of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Mary Wasem of Harrisburg, S. Dak., Mrs. Jennie Weaver of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. George Lewis of Willmar, Minn. Her parents and one brother, Adolph Thebiay, preceded her in death.

She will be sadly missed not only in her home but by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance, for she possessed a splendid personality and kindly spirit which won her many friends.

The grief of those who know her is assuaged by the thought she went to her reward with the satisfaction of feeling at peace with her Lord, having lived an active and devout life, devoted to her family, where she was a loyal wife and faithful mother.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Polmateer of Goldfield, Mr. and Mrs. James Imboden of Sioux City, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sadler and family of Belle Plaine, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Sadler and family of Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Sadler, Dr. Russell Sadler and family of Boone, Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis and son, George, of Willmar, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schlader of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cunningham of Carroll, Mrs. Will Barth of Council Bluffs, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman of Lake City, George Colle of Humboldt, Miss Elizabeth Hauser of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Robert Ure of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Willard Dale of Missouri Valley.
