Elizabeth A. Jindrich, 81, of Kearney, Nebraska died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Mount Carmel Home Keens Memorial. No services are planned at this time. O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Goodell, Iowa, to Arthur and Mary (Nolan) Lowenberg. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Henderson and her husband, Brent, of Kearney; grandson, Colbey Dunn and his special friend, Jordyn Tacha, of Kearney; great-grandsons, Cayden and Presten of Kearney; brother, Tom Lowenberg of Minnesota; sisters, Joan Janssen and Therese Heminger, both of Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1953. Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kearney State College in 1982. She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital as a psychiatric nurse for several years and later established the Employee Assistance Program in Kearney. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merlin and Duane; sister, Lois; sons, Robert, Matthew, John and Paul; and daughter, Jennifer. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
