Eula Bernice (Olson) Hansen, a 59 year resident of Chehalis, died peacefully on March 20, 2014. She was born Aug. 6, 1922 in Thor, Iowa to Olaus and Lena Olson. She attended a rural country school, graduated from Thor High School and Waldorf Lutheran College. She married Lynwood Hansen in 1954 and moved to Chehalis where they made their home. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, belonged to the Lutheran Women's Group and the book club. She was also a member of Chapter AV PEO. Eula and Lyn owned and operated Chehalis Music Co. until retiring in 1980. They enjoyed a long retirement traveling, camping, wintering in Arizona and spending time with their grandchildren. They delivered Meals on Wheels for the Twin City Senior Center and visited shut-ins.

Eula was preceded in death by her husband, Lyn; her parents; and two brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Tyson and Patty (Mark) Wilson; grandchildren, Justin Wilson and Kasey Wilson; sister, Marian Olson; sister-in-law, Helen Olson; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

A graveside interment will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Claquato Cemetery. Following the graveside will be a celebration of life at St. John's Lutheran Church, Chehalis, at 1:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lander House and Assured Home Health and Hospice for their kind care of Eula. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Mortuary Service, Chehalis, WA.
