Robert Craig Comstock, the son of Robert and Phyllis (Latch) Comstock, was born on August 14, 1946, in Webster City, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1964. Craig lived in Menomonie and Hudson, Wisconsin, where he managed various gas stations. He returned to Eagle Grove in 2009. Craig was an avid hunter and fisherman—the “best jig fisherman” around!

Craig passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at the age of 67 years. He was preceded in death by his father and nieces, Sarah Fitzthum and Brooke Daniels. Survivors include his son, Chad Comstock Eagle Grove; daughter, Kristin Towell of Troy, Ill.; mother, Phyllis Comstock of Eagle Grove; brother, Roger Comstock (June) of Buckeye, Ariz.; sister, Rhonda Fitzthum (Lynn) of Sartell, Minn.; brother, Tom Comstock (Cheri) of Clarion; sister, Tracy Kubik of Eagle Grove; brother, Dave Comstock (Mary Jo) of Hudson, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. The family will have private services. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
