April 11, 1933 ---- March 23, 1986

MRS. TOM (NADINE) CHELESVIG, 52, Webster City author, musician and public speaker, died Sunday afternoon, March 23 a the Hamilton County hospital where she had been a patient for 11 days. Private family committal services will be held Tuesday, March 25 at 10 a.m. at Graceland cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Raymond Roden and Rev. David LaMaster officiating.

Glenyce Nadine Nickell, daughter of Glen and Ethel Hanson Nickell, was born April 11, 1933 at Eagle Grove. She was educated there and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1951. On Jan. 25, 1953, she married Thomas O. Chelesvig at Eagle Grove. The couple resided in West Germany for 1 1/2 years. They moved to Eagle Grove and farmed until 1958 when they moved to a farm northwest of Webster City. She was the owner of Chelesvig Music Publishing Co., and the author of "When Life Hands You Lemons, Make Lemonade," She had also done extensive public speaking around the state.

Mrs. Chelesvig is survived by her husband, two daughters and two sons, Patty (Mrs. Terry) Dunlap of Iowa City, Pam Chelesvig of Omaha, and Russ and Bart Chelesvig of Webster City; one sister, Pat (Mrs. Ted) Maze of Maquoketa. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Chelesvig was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was the accompanist for the Trinity Choir for 20 years. She helped form a high school folk group, The Trinity Singers, which recorded an album. She had been the organist at St. Pauls Lutheran Church for 1 1/2 years. She had also been active in the Webster City Wrestling Boosters.
