BETTENDORF — Mary Ann Fromm went to be with her Lord Jesus on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Bettendorf Health Care. Services in celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Road, Bettendorf. Her family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. today at the church. There will be an additional visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday. A family committal service will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is assisting her family with arrangements.

Mrs. Fromm was born in 1934 to Frederick and Hazel Possehl in Wiota, Iowa. She married Darrell Fromm on May 1, 1954, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. For many years, she worked as a secretary; her last job was secretary to the chief of police in Bettendorf. She and Darrell enjoyed dancing and were part of a country-western dance team for a number of years. She also enjoyed active involvement with her church for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Mark Steege of Maine, and Lori and Ron Spiva of Bettendorf; son and daughter-in-law, Forrest Alan and Mary Lynne Fromm of Bellevue, Iowa; seven beloved grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Tillman of California; and her brother, Robert Possehl of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her parents; an infant brother, Larry Loyal; her sister, Karen, and an infant son, Forrest Austin.
