Chyann Rynae Banta, age 15, of Forest City passed away Saturday January 25, 2014 near Crystal Lake as a result of injuries received in an auto accident. Funeral services for Chyann Banta will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 1, 2014 at the Garner Hayfield High School Auditorium. Pastor Rod Hopp will officiate. Burial will take place in the Madison Township Cemetery south of Forest City. Visitation for Chyann Banta will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday January 31, 2014 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond and will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Chyann Rynae, the daughter of Tom and Teya Zwierzycki Banta, was born May 15, 1998 in Minneapolis, MN. Chyann grew up in Garner and spent much valued time in Forest City. She was currently a Freshman at the Garner Hayfield High School. Bright eyed and gregarious, Chyann was a fun-loving typical American girl. She participated in volleyball and chorus. Chyann loved the Food Network. She cooked and baked often for her family and friends. The love and life she shared with her family, friends and especially, her sister, Tiffany, is a holy eternal bond.

Chyann is survived by her mother, Teya (Jason) of Forest City, father, Tom (April) of Garner, grandparents, Linda Gannon of Forest City, Joe Zwierzycki (Barb) of Olive Hill, KY, Sandy Vestwebber (Dennis) of Leland, Lou Banta (Fran) of Belmond, great grandparents, Norma Jean Hoover of Wyoming, Wilhelmine Vestwebber of Belmond and numerous other loving aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
