Marjorie Hames, 82, of Williams, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Southfield Wellness Community. Private family services will be held at a later date. Visitation will be Monday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center in Webster City from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Marjorie Maxine Hanson, daughter of Peter and Hattie Nervig Hanson was born on March 21, 1931 in Hardy, IA. She graduated from Williams Schools. She married Melvin J. Hames at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams on January 14, 1952. The couple resided in Williams. Marjorie was a cook at the Boondocks, a bus driver for North East Hamilton Schools and a receptionist for Best Western Hotel. Melvin preceded her in death on December 13, 1991. Marjorie is survived by daughters; Catherine (Alan) Myklebust of Tucson, AZ and Cindy (Jon) Anderson of Jewell; grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Travis (Lindsey) Anderson, Sarah (Noah) Myklebust and Kristin (Matt) Carter; sisters; Orpha (Winfred) Walker of Woolstock, and Dorothy Olsen of Napa Valley, CA; brother, Harlan (Karen) Hanson of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lorna Richardson and Helen Bahr; and brother, Lloyd Hanson. Marjorie was a member St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams.
