Frank Casler Rites Will Be Thursday

Britt - Funeral services for Frank Casler, 64, who died Monday night, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and 2:30 at the Wigton funeral home. Mr. Casler was born Jan. 1, 1877, at DeKalb county, Ill. He came to Iowa with his parents, Moses and Catherine Casler, in 1892, settling on a farm near Wesley. July 8, 1913, he married Myrtle Hopkins at Wesley and went to live on a farm near Kanawha. In 1926 he retired from the farm and moved to Britt, where he trucked until 1940 when he retired from active work. Surviving are his wife and one brother, Barney, of Algona.

Frank Casler Dies At Britt

Funeral Services of Gun Club Manager Held; Burial Made

Britt - Funeral services for Frank Casler, 65, were held Thursday afternoon at the Wigton funeral home with the Rev. A. R. Larson in charge. Burial was in Britt cemetery. On July 8, 1913, he married Myrtle Hopkins at Wesley and went to live on a farm near Kanawha. In February 1926, Mr. and Mrs. Casler bought a home in Britt and retired from the farm. Mr. Casler was a trucker until 1940. Mr. Casler was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and manager of the Britt Gun club. Surviving are his wife and one brother, Barney Casler, of Algona. Pallbearers were F. D. Reibsamen, Oscar Edgren, Francis Redden, Glen Clark, L. C. Truitt and Frank Lapitz. The Odd Fellows lodge had their ritual service at the grave.
