October 19, 1918 --- December 6, 2013

Mildred Scott, 95, of Webster City, died Friday, December 6, 2013 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, with Rev. Mark Eichler, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Mildred Will, daughter of Daniel and Anna Mathey Will, was born October 19, 1918 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School, attended Junior College and taught at Troy Township country school. On January 17, 1941, she married Donald E. Scott at the United Methodist Church in Vincent. He died on May 19, 2007. For many years the couple farmed southwest of Eagle Grove. In the mid 50's, they moved to the Meadow View Farm south of Webster City where they farmed for over 20 years. In the early 70's, they purchased a farm in Minnesota where they farmed until 1983, when they retired to Webster City. In 1992 they moved to Loveland, CO. The couple was very involved in traveling on their Gold Wing motorcycle and for many years were members of the Christian Motorcycle Association. Their enthusiasm for the open road gave them an opportunity to cycle through 48 states. In 2002, they returned to Fort Dodge. Mildred had been residing at Crestview since 2007.

Mildred is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sharon Scott of Morton, Ill.; two grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Scott of Boise, ID, Debbie and Daryl Johnson of Green Lake, WI.; four great-grandchildren, Abby, Emmy, Max and Wyatt Johnson. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Memorials may be left to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1005 Beach Street, Webster City, Iowa 50595.
