Vernice (Ingebritson) Johnson, age 94, of Iowa Falls, died on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services on Friday.

Vernice was born on July 17, 1919 in Hayward, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Nora (Olson) Ingebritson. She attended rural school in the Dows and Popejoy area. She married Walter Johnson in 1938 in Eldora, Iowa. She was a housewife for many years and then went to work at Boyt's, retiring after 22 years. Vernice is survived by her three sons, Robert D. (Avis) Johnson of Iowa Falls, Arnold (Lisa) Johnson of Iowa Falls and Alan (Anita) Johnson of Iowa Falls; four grandchildren and seven great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Johnson; one baby sister; and five brothers, Melvin, Clarence, Bernett, Lester and Ray.
