Nathan Sinclair, 25, of Marshalltown, died Thursday evening, May 1st, near State Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 5th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the VFW Harry C. Harter Post #839. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home.

Born on June 16th, 1982, in Marshalltown, Nate was the son of Michael and Jacilyn (Carolus) Sinclair. He graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 2001 and served our country honorably in the United States Marines Corps for four years and served a term in Iraq. Nate was currently employed at Morton Buildings in Marshalltown and previously at Ethington Heating and Cooling. He enjoyed NASCAR, football and many sports including softball, golf, hunting and fishing, but most of all treasured his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many. Those he held so near and dear include his parents Mike and Jacilyn, daughter Asa Loren in Alabama, son Tylee of Marshalltown, special friend Kate Nicholson and her daughter Tatum of Marshalltown, grandmother Elaine Sinclair of Ferguson, grandparents Jerry and Jean Carolus of Hampton, great-grandma Julane Carolus of Belmond, his siblings Eric Hanson, Ashlea Sinclair (fiancé’ Randy Dall), Laura, Jennifer, Mickayla, Selena, Dakota and Charlie Sinclair and foster brother Brandon all of Marshalltown as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In death he has rejoined his grandfather J. D. Sinclair, great-grandparents Henry Carolus and Ruth and John Chapman.
