Robert L. Frayne was born on July 6, 1949 in Williams, Iowa, the son of Maurice and Mildred (Lange) Frayne. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton High School in Blairsburg, Iowa, among the class of 1967. Following his graduation Bob enlisted in the United States Navy in 1968, where he proudly served his country for 7 years, including one year in Vietnam. For over forty years Bob worked as a truck driver, hauling countless loads across the United States. Bob was always one to make new friends wherever he went and made numerous friendships throughout the years.
On December 5, 1992 Bob was united in marriage to Patricia Hauge in Clear Lake, they would be blessed with over 20 years together. Family was first and foremost in Bob's life. He rarely, if ever, missed a grandchild's birthday party and loved having the family together for the holidays. Bob took great pride in his vehicles throughout the years. Oftentimes he could be found outside working on his cars and "keeping them up". In his free time he also loved fishing and camping on the weekends, attending yearly dance recitals in Belmond, and listening to music and watching TV in his garage with his constant companion, Buddy, at his feet. Bob was a proud member of the Clear Lake V.F.W. and a former member of the Garner V.F.W.
