March 11, 1918 --- October 12, 2013

Mrs. Vivian Lucile Larson Antolick, long-time resident of Vero Beach, passed away October 12, 2013, at the Florida Baptist Retirement Center. The eldest daughter of Alfred and Jennie Larson of Eagle Grove, Iowa, she was born March 11, 1918. After a year of teaching school, she answered the nation's call for nurses, enlisting in the Women's Army Corps. She graduated from nursing school at the Swedish Hospital of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and served in France during World War II. After the war she married Daniel Antolick of Hazelton, Pennsylvania in 1946. They raised two daughters, Kathy Jean and Karen Joyce. Vivian is survived by one daughter, Karen Antolick Murphy of Moscow, Idaho, and one granddaughter, Bethany Ragn Murphy of Las Vegas, Nevada. A devoted Christian, Vivian spent her life living her faith. She will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 2 p.m. in the common area of the assisted living building at the Florida Baptist Retirement Center. Family, friends, FBRC staff and residents are welcome to attend. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation would be welcomed by the Florida Baptist Retirement Center or the VNA Hospice of Vero Beach. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home.
