Wilma Jean (Weir) Oleson, 83, of Coulter, Iowa, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013, at the Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa. She was born November 3, 1929, in Dows, Iowa, the daughter of Curtis and Thelma (Frye) Weir. Wilma attended the Hampton High School in Hampton and also Hamilton College in Mason City. She was married to Dwight C. Oleson on July 17, 1948, at the Methodist Church in Hampton. Wilma took care of the bookkeeping for her and Dwight's business. She enjoyed cooking, collecting plates, Eagle figurines and Jewel Tea dishes, traveling in the motor coach, and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In later years she was an avid fan of the Iowa State Cyclones. Wilma is survived by her son Mike (Carla) Oleson of Latimer, sister Coleen Risius of Iowa Falls, granddaughter Ginger (Justin) Song of Park View, granddaughter Candice Oleson of Ankeny, great grandchildren Logan, Sydney, and Macy Song, Preston Oleson, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dwight and infant daughter Roxanne. Burial will take place at the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, Iowa.
