WOOLSTOCK - Robert "Bobby" Kastler, 76, of Woolstock, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Foster Chapel, with Pastor Connie Thayer officiating. Burial will be in the French Cemetery, east of Woolstock. Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center and prior to the service on Tuesday.

Robert Keith Kastler, son of Edward and Virginia Baker Kastler, was born January 6, 1937 at Webster City. He graduated from Woolstock Public high school in 1954. On March 6, 1994, he married Marilyn Chapman in Las Vegas, NV. He was a Woolstock area farmer and raised mink for 20 years.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Marilyn; step-son, Steve (Brenda) Spellmeyer of Woolstock; grandchildren, Dustin Spellmeyer and Megan Anderson; great-grandchildren, Landon and Kaleb Anderson; brother, Yale Kastler of Woolstock and nieces and nephews, Edward Yale Jr., Troy A. Kastler and April Kastler-Grandgeorge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adoptive mother, Odette Kastler and sister, JoAnne Nauman Kastler.

Bobby was a member of Woolstock United Methodist Church, the Wild Bunch and the Webster City Family Moose Center. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping, golfing and spending winters in Florida. Bobby was a longtime Mayor of Woolstock.
