July 6, 1927 -- September 18, 2013

Chris J. Pogge, 86, a longtime Fort Dodge resident, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Southfield Care Center in Webster City with his family by his side. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Interment, with military honors, will be in the Renwick Cemetery. Visitation is 3-6 p.m. Friday at Gunderson's. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.

Chris is survived by his son Jack (Cindy) Pogge, Kanawha; daughter Jean (Melvin) Martinson, Fort Dodge; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rena, his infant daughter Jane Elaine Pogge, two brothers, Henry Pogge and Kenneth Pogge and brothers-in-law, Ewald Mueller and Carl and Than Claman.
