MAUDE FELLOWS, FORMER RESIDENT, DIES AT FT. DODGE
Maude B. Fellows, a former resident of Grinnell, died Thursday, Oct. 5, at Friendship Haven Home in Fort Dodge where she had made her home since August of 1952. Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted here. However, arrangements for these services are still incomplete. Friends may call at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home.
Born July 23, 1883, at Alden, she was a graduate of Grinnell College, completing her education with the class of 1901. She was united in marriage with Jesse Fellows on June 26, 1905, at Clarion. Following their marriage they made their home in North Dakota and were in the lumber business. In 1907 they returned to Grinnell to make their home. Mrs. Fellows was very active in the Congregational church. She was in charge of the Red Cross rooms for a number of years and was active in welfare work and with the Camp Fire Girls. She was a member of the P.E.O. and the Entre Nous club.
Her husband preceded her in death in January of 1947. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Zell Henley of Los Angeles, Calif.
