AFTER MONTHS OF WASTING ON A BED OF SUFFERING, DEATH RELIEVES PAIN
William Henry Peyton was born near Tipton, Iowa, March 21, 1852. At the age of two years he removed with his parents to Troy Mills, where he was married to Rebecca Jane Reece, on May 16, 1874, who died November 27, 1875. On October 8, 1878, he was married to Sarah Dudley Scott, to which union were born seven children, six of whom survive him; one having died in infancy. He removed with his family to Wright county in 1886. He died on February 4, 1912, leaving to mourn their loss his wife and six children, Mrs. William Iehl, Mrs. Lou Gardner, Leslie, Jesse, Ross and Harry, all residents of this vicinity, and Mrs. Ed Long, a stepdaughter, of Vinton, Iowa.
The last sad rites were held from the M. E. Church {Dows, Iowa] Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Ginn, the M.W.A having charge of the ceremonies at the cemetery. Interment in Fairview Cemetery [Dows, Iowa].
