Ella Queary was married to Geo. Michael Rettig on November 26, 1896 and lived for many years, southwest of Renwick. Eleven children were born to this union, one died in infancy and a daughter, Mildred in 1922. Mr. and Mrs. Rettig bought a farm near Spirit Lake and moved there with their family in 1912. She was a kind and loving mother, completely devoted to her home and family. She was a good neighbor, always ready to help in time of need. She made many friends wherever she lived.
