September 25, 1887 --- December 13, 1967

Anna Margaret Hinrichsen was born September 25, 1887 at Holstein, Germany, to Carl and Claudia Beckman Guse. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. At the age of 4, she came to America with her parents, and settled at Anchor, Ill. She was educated in the rural schools and attended sewing school at Blooming, Ill. She was the eldest of 6 children. Her mother passed away when she was 12, and she assumed the responsibility of raising the family. On December 16, 1908, she was united in marriage to Henry C. Henrichsen at Anchor, Ill. They came to Ft. Dodge, Iowa, in 1912, and continued farming in the surrounding area. To this union were born 6 children, 4 of whom survive. They are: Ernest Hinrichsen of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Olaf Amdahl of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Robert Hisler of Webster City and Mrs. Virgil Jacobsen of Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold, a daughter, Bonnie, her husband, parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and 3 grandsons. She leaves to mourn her passing, her 4 children, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and a devout Christian. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm December 16, at the First Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with the Rev. Bernard G. Olson officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove.
