Lowell Carter Dies Following Operation

Word was received here last Friday of the death of Lowell Carter who enlisted about a year ago in the Army, and was stationed at Fort Snelling [Minnesota]. Death followed an operation for appendicitis which he underwent at Fort Snelling hospital. The body was shipped home on Saturday and funeral services were held at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Luther Carter, on Monday afternoon, Rev. Share of Kanawha officiating. Burial was at Longsworth [Elmwood] cemetery.
