Amanda Forbes, 30, of Fort Dodge, died July 27, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008 at First Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. James I. Meadows, Jr. officiating. Interment will be held in Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Amanda Wegman was born September 25, 1977 in Fort Dodge. She was a graduate of FDSH and received her associate degree in nursing from ICCC. Amanda was united in marriage to Scott Forbes on June 15, 2002. She worked for Trinity Regional Medical Center, Enterprise and most recently Three Eagles Communications. Amanda was a member of First Congregational Church. She was involved with the Fort Dodge Youth Soccer Association.

Survivors include her husband Scott; her children Hailey and Carter; her parents Sally Wegman and Ron Swanberg; her brother Jon Swanberg; her grandparents Lowell and Doris Swanberg; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Alan and Sherri Forbes; sister-in-law Sheila Forbes; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lewis and Mildred May Wegman; her uncles Ricky Wegman, Dale Wegman, Tommy Wegman, William Miller and John Swanberg. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up for her children, Hailey and Carter.
