Kanawha Railroad Employee Succumbed to Heart DiseaseKanawha, Iowa — Funeral services for John Taylor were held Friday afternoon at the Kanawha Lutheran church with the Rev. M. N. Peterson officiating. Mr. Taylor died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home in Kanawha from heart disease. He had been in good health. He was 54 years old. Mr. Taylor was born May 15, 1886 at Bevington. He was married to Mary Anne Anderson of Corwith in 1908. They lived at Corwith until 1915 when they moved to Kanawha where they had made their home since. He was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran church. For the past 30 years he was an employee of the Minneapolis and St. Louis railroad and for the past 25 years he had been section foreman in the Maintenance of way division.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Maurice Peterson of Britt and one brother, Walter Taylor of St. Paul MN. Private devotions were held at the home. Special music was furnished by the men’s quartet and a ladies quartet. Burial was made in the Kanawha [or Corwith] Cemetery.
