Lyle Ronald Rash, oldest son of Lyle and Selma Rash, was born in the Ellsworth hospital, Iowa Falls, July 22, 1927, and departed from this life January 12, 1947, at the age of nineteen years, 5 months and 21 days. He is survived by his parents, four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Norma Hunt of Alden, Nancy, Virginia, Sandra, Allan and Billy, all of Popejoy. Also surviving him are his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Rash of Rockford, Iowa, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rosa Graff of Popejoy, and a great grandmother, Mrs. Jones, living at Richland, Iowa. Besides these there are a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ronald was baptized in the Popejoy Methodist Church April 5, 1928, by the pastor, Rev. Charles Yeager. His entire life was lived in this community and he received his education in the Popejoy school. For the past few years he had been employed on neighboring farms and for some time has been engaged at Ackerman's Lumber Yard. His many friends mourn his early death.

Popejoy Youth, 19, Dies After Accident

GALT, IA. — Ronald Rash, 19, of Popejoy, Ia., died late yesterday afternoon in an Iowa Falls
hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on a gravel road east of here early yesterday. State Highway Patrolman H. L. Jenkins said the car Rash was driving, owned by Woodrow Retie, 24, of Popejoy, apparently had overturned several times in the middle of the road.
