Fred Ramsey Funeral Is Held at Clarion

CLARION, Feb. 8 — Funeral services for Fred Ramsey were held at the Church of Christ Wednesday. He was born at Modesto, Ill. July 6, 1889. For many years, he had been associated with Ed Davis in farming operations near Clarion. Among the fraternal organizations of which he was a member, was the American Legion. After an enlistment of a year during the World war, Mr. Ramsey returned to Clarion and early became a member of Clarion Post of the Legion, giving much of his time and assistance to the organization of the order. In 1927, he was named commander, an office which he discharged with honor, not only to himself, but to the post. Following services at the church, the American Legion took charge, burial being at Evergreen cemetery. Above 50 members of Clarion post were in attendance.
