January 22, 1938 --- September 20, 2005

Louise Elaine Hamman, 67, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away September 20, 2005. She was born January 22, 1938, in Ottawa, IL, and moved to Clarion, IA, in 1949. She moved to Phoenix in 1977 from Los Angeles. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Gary; two sons, Brian (Karen) Fikejs in Phoenix and Dennis (Debbie) Fikejs in MD; two brothers Leonard (Nancy) Noack in Scottsdale and John (Elner) Noack in Waterloo, IA; four grandchildren Daniel and Jessica Fikejs, Grady Groves, and Rachael Fikejs, two great grandchildren Brennon and Clayton Groves. After 17 years she retired from Motorola's government group in Scottsdale in 1997 as an Administrative Secretary. She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she served her Lord Jesus. In recent years she also participated in Bible Study Fellowship and Church Women United. One of Louise's favorite things was being with her grandchildren. She had a special gift of being able to relate and become friends with almost any child. She was an "adopted" grandma for several children and she just loved it. She was adopted by Stephanie and James Montanez, Kelli and Jeff Kolodziej. Other interests were gardening along with collecting bird houses, traveling, photography and scrapbooking. Services will be at First Baptist Church, the corner of Glendale and Central Avenues, September 27 at 3:00 PM. Contributions in lieu of flowers to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 7000 N. Central, Phoenix, AZ 85020.
