EX-GRINNELL PASTOR DIES

The Rev. J. Lester (Jack) Williams, 80, a former Baptist minister in Grinnell, died April 22 in Eldora. Funeral services were conducted April 25, with burial in the Jackson Township Cemetery [Hardin County]. A memorial fund has been established with the Iowa Baptist Children's Home. The Rev. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Ella Mae, and one sister, Edna Doan of Springfield, Mo. He was a native of Hardin County and was ordained in 1942. He served churches in Goldfield, Holmes, Belmond, Bloomfield, Floris, Guthrie Center and Manning, as well as Grinnell.
