Huffman, Texas — Fonda Sue (Rowley) Moorehead passed away in Huffman, Texas, on April 22, 2013. She was born on Feb. 25, 1950, in Belmond, Iowa, to Deloris and Arald D. Rowley. Fonda grew up in Mason City, Iowa, and graduated from Mason City High School in 1968. Fonda married Gary Van Every in 1968 and moved with him to Texas in 1971. Although they ended their marriage, Fonda remained in Texas. Fonda worked for GATX Terminals Corp. in Houston for more than 30 years. She is survived by her husband, David Moorehead; her three sons: Scott Van Every and Nick Van Every, living in California, and Eric Van Every of Spring, Texas; her mother, Deloris Rowley, Mason City; her older brother, Arald R. Rowley, Reno, Nev.; and her younger brother, Jerry Rowley, Bremerton, Wash. Fonda was preceded in death by her father, Arald D. Rowley, and her grandparents. Fonda enjoyed canning, bow hunting, and cooking — especially barbecues. She will be missed.
