Raymond Norem, age 81, of Radcliffe, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls, IA. Funeral services was Monday, May 23, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams, IA. Raymond will be buried at Williams Cemetery in Williams, IA.

Raymond was born September 5, 1929 to John and Nellie (Carr) Norem on the family farm north of Radcliffe. He attended the country school near Radcliffe. On November 25, 1951 he was united in marriage to Betty Helton. To this union, two daughters were born, Connie and Peggy. Betty passed away August 8, 1990. Raymond operated a corn shelling business along with farming the family's Century farm north of Radcliffe until he retired in 1991. He and his father owned and operated Archer Oil business for 75 years. After retirement, he was a member of The North Central Iowa Tractor Club and enjoyed many tractor rides across the state. On December 16, 1995 Raymond was united in marriage to Harriett Grim.

Ray passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. He is survived by his wife Harriett, two daughters Connie (Trent) Stone of Williams and Peggy (Kevin) Zahrt of Estherville, four grandchildren, Julie (Dale) Keller, Jodie (Charles) Grim, Nicole (Justin) Lewis and Nathan Zahrt; five great-grandchildren, Waylon, Austin & Ashley Keller and Lee & Makenzie Grim; three step-children, Becky (Cam) North, Charles (Jodie) Grim, Pam (Dennis) Ryan; and three step-grandchildren, Brooksany Jobes, Seth Jobes and Sydney North. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty, two brothers, Henry and Glen, and two sisters, Daisy Hoversten and Clarinda Eide.
