February 1, 1896 --- February 16, 1954

Latimer, Iowa, Feb. 24 - Robert M. Sullivan, age fifty-eight, passed away last Tuesday at the Community hospital, in Belmond, following a heart attack. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20th at the Methodist church in Latimer. Rev. E.A. Cochell, of Geneva, was in charge of the final rites and burial was made in the Alexander cemetery.

Robert Monroe Sullivan was born February 1, 1896, in Brynt, Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Sullivan. On April 22, 1930, he was married to Ollie Amendt, of Sedan, Kansas, who preceded him in death in 1948. Mr. Sullivan began working for the Great Lakes Pipe Lines in 1941 and came to the Latimer-Alexander station in 1945.

Surviving are a step-son, J. Soloman, of Troy, Missouri, a sister, Mrs. W. R. Greene, of Russell, Kansas, and a brother, A. M. Sullivan, of Cut Bank, Montana, and two half-sisters, Mrs. J. E. Gordon of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Minnie Johnston, of Los Angeles, California. Mr. Sullivan was a veteran of World War I and was a member of American Legion Post No. 658
